Stardust

This post is available & uploaded on Wednesday 12/12/12. I don’t believe in the end of the world, neither in the possibility of a strangely named asteroid impacting with our dear planet Earth on this exact date. I simply find it funny because it is a round date and the number 12 seems to be a very interesting & useful number indeed. Its uniqueness has been recognized by mathematicians, scientists and physicists. The number 12, for instance, can be evenly divided into halves, thirds, fourths, sixths, and twelfths. The same cannot be said about many other numbers. On top of that, our calendar has 12 months that were organised according to the astrological 12 zodiacs. We arrange the day in two halves, each of one of 12 hours…

I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe in causalities, and when those appear around me I like to see them as signs of something magical & mysterious, as serendipity connections available for my eyes only. But the truth is that they are there only if I choose to look at them, otherwise they might go unnoticed and will get lost forever. Or not…

Quite often I get hooked by books, articles, tweets, posts. I love reading interesting material and there is so much of it everywhere! It can be so fascinating that the hours fly away and disappear into the day. Just when I notice that I need artificial light on to keep going, I realise that time has passed just like a sigh.

Today has been a different day for several reasons. I’ve said goodbye to 3 people, I’ve had 2 very promising phone calls, I’ve started 1 new strategy to promote my services and I’ve also read 2 quotes by 2 different authors, 2 quotes that I didn’t know before and that have created a connection between them for me.

The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies, were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.Carl Sagan

“Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: you are all stardust.” Lawrence Krauss.

I was sitting in the sun today for a while and all of the sudden I just remembered a dream I had a while ago and it came back to my mind clear, like a very recent memory that only happened the day before. The children that I have not had yet visited me in that dream. There were 2, a girl and a boy, similar age if not the same, in their early 20’s. Long dark hair both, deep and see-through look, beautiful, wise, respectful. We looked like friends, standing there the three of us, staring at each other with kindness, communicating between us, listening to each other, smiling from our hearts, lovingly & feeling grateful. Then they gave me a message: ‘tell Dad to be careful with the car’. I could not understand so they insisted, repeated it once more, and that woke me up. I did pass the message at the time to the potential father to be. He was surprised and even excited. I know he is careful, I hope that he will always be.

On top of all that a good friend of mine sent me a gift today, a book by Anita Moorjani, a woman who had a near-death-experience after suffering a cancer during 4 years. Anita states: “I believe that the Universe greatest truth is not out there where stars & planets are being studied. That truth is within, in the magnificence of our hearts, minds & souls. We will not be able to understand what’s out there until we don’t understand what’s inside of us”.

Every day I feel closer to understanding myself and everything around me a little bit better and those magical connections play their special part in the process. Maybe understanding the outside can help some to connect with their inside, and others might be able to reach the space through their inner knowledge. It does not matter really what’s the direction if we are made of the same ingredient.

Potentially I am the result of a million of pieces of shinning stars’ merger. So I just wondered today, would it be possible that the children we have not had yet are actually looking after us already!? What are dreams made of? And what about the people in those dreams? Because, if we are made of stardust and we are real, could my dreamy children exist already? Is there a life after death? Can we human beings heal ourselves?

All this doesn’t make much sense at all, I know, at least not today. I might find the clear connection tomorrow, or maybe not. I just know that it is real and exists, which is all I need to know by now.

“Love your rhythm and rhythm your actions
under its law, as well as your verses;
you are a universe of universes
and your soul is a fountain of songs.

The celestial unity you presuppose
will make sprout in you several worlds,
and upon echoing your dispersed numbers,
pythagorises in your constellations.

Listen to the divine rhetoric
of the air bird and the nocturnal
geometric emanation predict;
kill the taciturn indifference
and link pearl with crystalline pearl
where truth tips her urn.”
